RACK FEED DRILL SILENCER
Desoutter RACK FEED DRILLS are a portable drilling unit with a manual rack and pinion feed, particularly popular within the aerospace industry.
Its versatile feed rate control, allows users to “feel” the feed rate required for each job, this is particularly useful when drilling laminates and sandwich materials. The only problem can be noise levels which reduce the amount of time users can safely operate the drill.
The RJD development team – working closely with DESOUTTER and our AEROSPACE clients have designed, developed and fitted a silencer assembly, delivering 10% reduction in noise levels from 88dB(A) to just 79dB.
